| » PFTS Association PFTS Association was founded in February, 1996 and as for today it is one of the largest and most influential associations of professional securities market participants acknowledged by representatives of the governmental authorities and investors on the securities market both in Ukraine and overseas. In October, 2006 Ukrainian SEC extended the period of PFTS self-regulatory organization (SRO) certificate validity till May, 2009.
PFTS Association owns the PFTS Stock Exchange.
PFTS Association in its activity proceeds with necessity of assuring the National Interests of Ukraine:
- attracting of investments to the real sector of economy;
- establishment of the system of financial instruments for engaging the savings of the population into the financial market;
- creation of conditions for increasing the competitiveness of Ukrainian securities market;
- prevention of transfer of trades in Ukrainian securities to alternative markets;
- optimization of state expenditures for regulation of securities market;
- ensuring of appropriate integration into international capital markets;
- introduction of corporate governance in Ukraine in accordance with OECD Principles of Corporate Governance and best international practices.
Membership in PFTS Association enables:
- to associate with the PFTS Stock Exchange — largest organizer of trades on Ukrainian securities market (share among all licensed organizers of trades — 96.3%);
- to comply with the requirements of the Article 4 of the Law of Ukraine On State Regulation of Securities Market in Ukraine (according to this Law professional market participants holding the license to perform operations related to issuance and circulation of securities are obliged to become the members of professional association of securities market participants — SRO, certified by the SEC);
- to promote securities market development through participation in activities of the Board & Committees;
- to protect the interests of their organization using the PFTS arbitration and disciplinary system, specifically to use the right to appeal to the PFTS Court of Arbitration;
- to participate in the auctions of the State Property Fund on stakes of shares owned by the state;
- to participate in trading sessions on government bonds, which are conducted with the direct participation of the National Bank of Ukraine;
- to operate by intense informational resources, based upon information of PFTS Stock Exchange as well as on other information, which is necessary for adoption of investment decisions (daily, weekly and monthly trading results in PFTS; daily bulletin PFTS-inform, data on PFTS web-portals etc);
- to participate in conferences, seminars, training sessions and educational programs conducted by PFTS;
- to receive all accessible issuers’ information that is available at the Association;
- to complimentary receive any financial information on the activities of the PFTS members for evaluation of possible risks;
- to receive complimentary daily, weekly and monthly information on PFTS trading.
At the same time PFTS Association members are required:
- to carry out current legislative requirements and provisions of PFTS Charter, other rules, regulations and standards of PFTS;
- to assist the activity to achievement of basic purpose of PFTS — development of the open and equally accessible securities market in Ukraine;
- to carry out the decisions of the Arbitration Court and disciplinary bodies of Association;
- to present to PFTS Arbitration Court the disputes, which arise among them and other market participants;
- appropriately present to PFTS all reporting documentation and other information concerning the professional activity on securities market, stipulated by rules and regulations of PFTS;
- to induce membership dues.
PFTS Association members are sited in a uniform legal environment both of the Ukrainian legislation on securities market and internal PFTS rules and regulations. PFTS approves impossibility of use of its membership, its rules and procedures in the interests of particular company or group of the companies.
The structure of PFTS Association is constituted of the General Meeting, the Council and the President, committees and Administration.
