Ukrainian & international investment society actively use information of PFTS, which is a member of World Federation of Exchanges and International Association of CIS Exchanges.
Since 1 October 1997 PFTS has been calculating PFTS Index — the major indicator of Ukrainian capital market development. Index is calculated on the basis of prices, which are formed at the «Quote-Driven Market».
To calculate PFTS index the total market capitalization of constituent stocks is divided by the total market capitalization of these stocks at the initial date and then multiplied by the initial value of the index. Market capitalization is calculated based on current stock prices, number of shares outstanding and free-float factor.
The PFTS Index calculation base consists of 18 most liquid and capitalized equities picked by the PFTS Index Committee experts. The constituent list is being reviewed every three months.
Since 4 October 2004 PFTS in cooperation with CBonds calculate PFTS-CBonds and PFTS-CBonds/TR indexes — indexes of the corporate bonds market.
PFTS_Cbonds Index identifies the changes of prices of corporate bonds with retirement/close offer to one year (without account of aggregated coupon income).
PFTS_Cbonds/TR Index characterizes provisional value of index portfolio that includes corporate bonds with maturity to retirement/close offer to one year, as follows the received percentage payments at once reinvesting in that index portfolio.
